Pegasus 993 JK edition partial rebuild explained

A long time client and his DAILY driven 993 Porsche called and thought it was time to do some partial rebuild work on his powerplant. The car having done 300k km+ has been a daily driver for him for over 10 years.

He wanted to know the health of his engine and asked if we could do something about the oil leaks. While there he also wanted to put the chassis on a diet with the removal of the electrical seats for some Recaro seats that had to be color matched. And remove the sun roof for a sun roof for a DRS carbon roof skin.

We found a lot of small things not to be great on the car (which is normal for its age and milage). Surprisingly though the engine itself was found to be more then healthy.

While JFT took care of the bodywork in replacing the sunroof for a DRS carbon roofskin and painting the seats and roll cage in color in Belgium. Back in the Netherlands we fixed the engine. Applying some burnt bronze Ceracoat to make the engine fresh again. Various bits were zinc plated, powercoated and replaced to make the engine seem fresh again. We changed out all the fuel rails for steel braded Teflon items and made sure everything that came off looked fresh or new when placed back.

Getting to do this all seemed time consuming then we thought initially and we had to ask the client to wait a few days extra. In the end we ended up delivering the car in Luxemburg with our transporter and they went ahead and drove it for 3 full days on a private track day on the Bilster Berg Circuit.
