Do you want your Engine to look like the day it left the shop? We got you! Our specialisation is Porsche 911 OEM Engine Rebuilds. What this means is that we can restore, rebuild and even upgrade your Porsche 911 Engine. For all your wishes and requests we offer an engine rebuilding solution. Our starting package is the OEM Engine Rebuild. This proces takes around 3 months and will result in an engine that is factory new. How is this possible in just 3 months we hear you ask. Well, DRS Development has found the best partners through years and years of experience. But to make this as believable as possible for you, we will write the process down below.
DISASSEMBLY
At DRS we start every engine with a complete tear down. We believe in doing everything once and for that reason do not do top end or partial rebuilds. Every engine is torn down completely and every part is inspected individually for factory tolerances and defects. After our complete disassembly we have a better view of the state of the engine. the second fase in the engine rebuild is the cleaning of aluminum parts. These are taken to our partner Aquablast for a thorough cleaning and vaporblasting treatment.
VAPORBLASTING/CLEANING
The aluminum engine parts are all send of for modificating and are vaporblasted afterwards for a thorough cleaning. The reason we do this after modifications is that we want all remaining residue to be gone from from the parts. Another quality check ensures us that we are dealing with parts that are in the best condition possible. Only then can we move on to assembling the engine.
ASSEMBLING
After the parts have been returned from Aquablast we can start assembling the engine. Once the bare block is assembled we move on to the wire work, cable’s, sensors, engine tin and intake system. Everything is inspected, modified, powder coated, and replated to the wishes of the customer. Every starter, alternator and power steering pump is checked and redone/revised before being put back on the engine.
INTAKES AND EXHAUST
We honour the sound of the factory Porsche 911, therefore we will be using a “standard” exhaust and intake system. This can be upgraded to your likings so the options are unlimited. Just let us know your wishes and we will carry them out on your Porsche 911
